I'm a research fellow at Greenpeace East Asia (https://www.greenpeace.org/eastasia/). I earned my Ph.D. in environmental planning from Seoul National University (https://gses.snu.ac.kr/en) in February 2024, under the guidance of Professor Sun-Jin Yun (ecodemo.snu.ac.kr). My current research focuses on leveraging GeoAI—including computer vision and spatial machine learning—to predict climate crises and improve the socially equitable accessibility of climate technologies.
My current research focuses on:
My previous research includes:
Hyeyoung Sim_CV_Updated_20240301.pdf
My previous research works include:
The Vulnerability of extreme heatwaves, considering the socially marginal population
The optimal location of climate technologies based on equal accessibility
Determinants of public acceptance of climate technologies and behaviors
